Description

The Human Resources Admin is responsible for providing administrative support to the human resources department and assisting with various HR functions. Their duties include maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, and onboarding processes, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. They play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR activities and supporting the overall HR function within The IC.


Essential Responsibilities:

· Assist with administering health and wellness benefits by helping with annual open enrollment, determining eligibility, processing life event changes, preparing benefit communications, and addressing employee inquiries.

· Maintain accurate tracking records of employee performance and development. 

· Provide backup for the processing and managing of FMLA, FAMLI, disability, leave-of-absence, ADA requests, unemployment claims, and Worker’s Compensation claims, ensuring timely and compliant handling.

· Review, track, and document compliance with all required training, professional licensures, and work assessments to ensure organizational standards are met. 

· Review and verify new hire documentation to determine eligibility to work in the U.S. by completing the Form I-9 and submitting E-Verification cases.

· Input and maintain employee data in the HR Information System to ensure organized and complete employee records. 

· Assist with managing employee-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Assist with recruiting process to include job posting, applicant review and onboarding for all positions in The IC.

· Participate and engage in any required program, committee or IC meetings with or in place of leadership.

· This position may also require the performance of other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· One year of human resources experience.

· Bachelor's Degree or HR related certification preferred.

· Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.

· Lived experience with a disability preferred.


Travel:

· Local travel to partners, collaborators, and vendors for official IC related business and events may be required.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance.

  

Working Conditions:

· Office environment requiring ongoing computer use and extended amount of time sitting or standing.

· Frequently lift, push, pull, up to 10 lbs. 

· Internet access to work remotely if protocols are issued for remote work.
