We are seeking a Home Loan Accountant to join our Farm Credit family! This position will process accounting entries and activities for the home lending department (HLD). The Home loan Accountant will complete a variety of accounting and other duties that include maintaining accurate and complete records, researching problems and recommending solutions, and supporting the accounting team as needed.    

Responsibilities:
Home Lending Accounting Processing: Support the accounting team by ensuring all home lending accounting entries are complete according to policy and procedure. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records related to assigned duties. Research problems, recommend solutions, and process correcting entries as appropriate for the Home Lending Department.

Reporting and Accounting Support: Provide Association locations and home loan originators support resolution for home loan accounting issues. Performs assigned accounting duties related to data input and reporting. Meet all deadlines associated with assigned responsibilities. Ensure data integrity is maintained and provide back up support for accounting functions as needed.

Other Duties: Completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include specific projects.

Requirements:
•    Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree
•    1-3 years relevant work experience.
•    Knowledge of general office routine and use of office equipment, including phones, computers, copiers, and scanners
•    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
•    Self-motivated, with the ability and desire to learn and willingness to apply new procedures and concepts.
•    Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision.
•    Effective, basic, and efficient computer/technical skills and use of Microsoft Office programs.
