Why Lakeshore – Where Fitness, Hospitality, and Chicago Energy Come Together
At Lakeshore Sport & Fitness, we’re proud to be Chicago’s #1 destination for sport, fitness, and fun—but what truly sets us apart is our people. From our youngest members in childcare to our most competitive athletes, this is a community built on energy, excellence, and connection.
We value professionalism, ownership, team, quality, and celebration in how we lead and serve. At Lakeshore, your work will be visible across the club: keeping daily operations smooth while driving the projects that make us better for years to come.
Your Game Plan – Make the Building Run Better Every Day
As Building Operations Project Manager, you’ll run projects and build processes that keep our clubs reliable, safe, and guest-ready—today and for the long term. You’ll coordinate day-to-day tasks, lead cross-team efforts, and move capital improvements from idea to done. You don’t need a facilities background—you need to operate, problem-solve, lead, and love to work.
Your Role on the Team – What You’ll Be Leading
Own the project list (small fixes → capital improvements) so priorities move from plan to completion.
Build simple SOPs & checklists for open/peak/close so standards are consistent across shifts.
Run the action log (task • owner • due • status) and close loops within 24–48 hours.
Coordinate vendors & schedules (repairs, PMs, inspections) so downtime is minimal.
Track budgets & timelines for projects so leaders see status, risks, and next steps.
Spot and remove friction on the floor—see it → own it → clear it → share the fix.
Communicate clearly with leaders and team members—what, why, when, and who.
Model presence at key hours (open/peak/close) and coach in the moment.
What You Bring – Your Strengths
A get-it-done mindset with calm, clear communication.
Project & operations chops (any industry): plan, schedule, execute, follow through.
Comfort with basic tools (spreadsheets, task boards, simple budgets, vendor portals).
Ability to organize moving pieces, anticipate roadblocks, and keep people aligned.
- A team-first approach—direct, kind, and reliable.
