Job Summary

The Adult Program Manager will facilitate planning and lead execution of CLG evening programs and promote all adult programs through community outreach and engagement.

Job Responsibilities: 

Plan, budget, and evaluate CLG evening programs and curriculum for adults ages 45+; recruit and supervise instructors; coordinate all CLG execution logistics; promote and market CLG programs; survey CLG participant satisfaction; enhance community visibility of Lifelong Learning and Soc/Rec programs for ages 60+ to increase registrations and program attendance. Innovate and lead new approaches and programs to increase adult engagement in JCC programs. Recruit and manage volunteers to support CLG evening program execution.

  • Lead CLGprogram planning including evening classes, Sunday adventures, special events
    1. Includes CLG and LLL instructor recruitment 
    2. Support LLL program planning
  • Coordinate effective execution of CLG evening programs including room set ups; building communications and room reservations; instructor scheduling, coordination and prep; program communications and oversight; class recruitment and registration, participant confirmation, and communications; materials prep
  •  Promote and recruit CLG participants, instructors, and volunteers 
    • Local outreach
    • Coordinate social channels
    • Strategic partnerships 
    • Brochure 
    • Member communications 
    • Community visibility 
  • Monitor and manage CLG budget, revenues and expenses to achieve financial performance targets 
  • Conduct surveys about instructor effectiveness, and solicit participant feedback and input about programs of interest
  • Serve as CLG evening host; welcome participants the first evening of any new course; support evening set-up and trouble-shoot as needed
  • Work with instructors to ensure classes deliver learning, social connection, and fun
  • Attend weekend activities
  • Cultivate an engaged adult community in South Jersey based at the Katz JCC
  •  Manage events 

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in program management, adult education, community engagement, or relevant field
  • Experience preferred in:
  • Jewish learning, programs, culture
    • Communications
    • Planning

    • Supervision 
    • Use of technology
    • Presentations skills
    • Budgeting
    • Writing 
    • Creative solutions and risk taking 
    • Curriculum planning 
    • Social skills
  • Requires evening and Sunday work schedule
