CAD Control Systems, a leader in the development, design, and manufacturing of BOP Control Systems, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Broussard, LA. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, HR technology, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.


Key Responsibilities:


HR Operations & Strategy

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on all people-related matters. 
  • Support workforce planning, succession, and organizational development.
  • Oversee the full employee life cycle: recruiting, onboarding, training and development, engagement and offboarding.
  • Monitor and evaluate HR metrics to track effectiveness and support data-driven decision making.
     

Payroll & HRIS Management

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with wage and hour regulations. 
  • Administer and optimize HRIS platform (Paylocity), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process automation.
     

Benefits Administration

  • Lead the strategic planning and administration of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k). 
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and other regulations. 
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee benefits education.
     

Training & Compliance

  • Ensure required training and certifications are maintained, documented, and renewed in accordance with industry and company standards. 
  • Partner with safety and operations to support compliance training (e.g., OSHA, equipment-specific). 
  • Track and report on training metrics and gaps.
     

Drug & Alcohol Testing

  • Manage and enforce the company’s drug and alcohol testing policies, including pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion testing.
     

ISN Administration

  • Serve as the company’s ISNetworld (ISN) administrator, ensuring ongoing compliance with client and industry-specific requirements. 
  • Submit and maintain accurate data for contractor compliance, including training records, safety statistics, and insurance documentation. 
  • Coordinate with operations and safety teams to resolve issues flagged in ISN.
     

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, investigations, and corrective actions. 
  • Champion employee engagement, diversity, and high-performance culture initiatives. 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required, and an Associates or a Bachelor degree in Business or Management with a focus in Human Resources, or equivalent education and experience. 
  2. Five (5) + years’ experience in human resources field in the oil and gas industry preferred.  


SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC: 

  1. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications required. 
  2. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact with all customers and vendors, and possess excellent project management skills. 
  3. Must have ability to manage multiple complicated tasks, prioritize, and be detail oriented.
  4. Must pay close attention to accuracy.
  5. Familiarity with Paylocity strongly preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor office environment. Exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, noxious odors, mechanical and electrical hazards, burns and temperature conditions may occur. 

Physical: Primary functions require physical ability and mobility to sit, walk and stand frequently; to frequently lift, carry, push, twist, turn, bend, crouch, kneel, reach, grasp, handle, feel and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to occasionally climb on ladders or stairs. This position may have occasional exposure to pinch points and moving objects. This position requires constant eye-hand coordination and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to exchange information. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses, must be worn at all times while in the indoor/outdoor shop environment.  

Vision: See near/far with or without correction. 

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
