Description
We are seeking passionate and dedicated bilingual volunteers to support our Congregate Meal Nutrition Programs at Naperville and Schaumburg locations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Working under the supervision of the nutrition supervisor
- Helping the supervisor in planning menus
- Serve food to the elderly and assist with cleaning and maintaining hygiene
- Assist in planning and conducting enrichment and social activities for clients like games, exercises, musical programs etc.
- Perform other simple duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Hindi and Gujarati is a must.
- Passion and flair for working with elderly population
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and driven to complete all necessary training
- Previous volunteer experience with elderly is a plus, but not required
Time Commitment: 3-5 hours/week, flexible schedule]
