General Responsibilities / Job Summary:

Responsible for performing back-office support on demand deposit account inquiries under general supervision and dual control. Support the solution centers and other departments with inquiries, including wire transfer requests, debit cards, disputes, ACH, mobile deposits, etc. Perform all duties in compliance with federal and internal regulations, policies and practices and utilize dual control.

Essential Functions/Duties:

  2. Positive attitude & client service: Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and provide exceptional client service to LINKBANK members.
  3. Process incoming/outgoing wires: Handle both domestic and international wire transfers for clients and employees.
  4. Follow bank procedures: Adhere to deposit-related procedures and bank policies as outlined by the Manager and Deposit Operations Manager.
  5. Print & mail CD Interest Checks: Print and mail interest checks for Certificates of Deposit (CDs).
  6. Process chargeback items: Handle chargeback items and process them into client accounts.
  7. Monitor ACH returns & deceased clients: Track ACH origination returns, changes, and notify of deceased clients.
  8. ATM/debit card research & maintenance: Investigate issues related to ATM/debit cards, disputes, and maintain cards as needed.
  9. Check/electronic deposit research: Research deposit and withdrawal activities, report NSF/OD activity, and address Non Posts.
  10. Handle research requests & daily reports: Respond to research requests, review exception reports, approve remote deposited checks, and process certificate renewals or closures.
  11. Monitor shared mailboxes: Check shared mailboxes for maintenance requests related to deposit accounts and debit cards, and maintain document archives.
  12. Perform routine account maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance on accounts across multiple deposit applications.
  13. Support periodic audits/exams: Maintain and provide necessary documentation for audits and examinations.
  14. Provide research support: Assist with research and documentation for internal departments or external requests.
  15. Support external reporting: Provide support for reporting data like interest earned and withholding to external agencies.
  16. Complete Cash Letter Adjustments: Handle Cash Letter Adjustments through the Federal Reserve when needed.
  17. Other duties as assigned: Perform any additional tasks as directed.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Juggle multiple priorities: Able to handle several tasks simultaneously with clear guidance from a supervisor.
  • Attention to detail & problem solving: Focused on details, proactive, and able to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Compliance with policies: Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer & Windows skills: Proficient in computer usage and working with Windows systems.
  • Interpersonal & communication skills: Strong at communicating, working with others, and staying organized.
  • Exceptional customer service: Provide outstanding service to customers, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Knowledge of deposit services & ACH network: Familiar with deposit services and the ACH network operations.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years Banking experience

Required Certification/Licenses:

Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to all locations in the bank’s footprint as needed.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

  • Clear verbal communication: Able to convey instructions and information clearly and accurately to clients and colleagues.
  • Reading & comprehension: Capable of understanding complex schedules and details to process correspondence correctly while delivering excellent client service.
  • Manual dexterity: Skilled in operating office equipment, including computer terminals and other office tools.
  • Visual acuity: Must have the necessary vision to work efficiently at a computer terminal.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, printers/copiers, phones, and postage meters.
