This hybrid role combines inside sales and sales support responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, navigating data systems, and collaborating across teams to deliver results.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of existing accounts, drive engagement and reorders, and assist the field sales team with quoting, forecasting, and maintaining accurate sales data. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable with phone and email-based customer interaction, and thrives in a technical, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively reach out to existing customers to maintain relationships and generate new opportunities.
- Build trust and rapport with clients by understanding their needs and offering solutions.
- Introduce existing customers to new products, services, or developments.
- Manage CRM entries and maintain accurate customer records and sales activity.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and follow up on marketing-generated leads.
- Meet or exceed internal KPIs related to outreach, retention, and follow-up.
- Assist with pricing inquiries, quote preparation, and customer communications.
- Coordinate sample requests and act as liaison between the sales, product, and customer service teams.
- Support monthly forecasting efforts, including updating data and facilitating team reviews. Maintain sales records including account assignments, new customer setup, and internal data updates.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure a smooth quote-to-order process.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in inside sales or customer support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with the foundry or chemical industry is a plus.
