As an important member of our Operations team, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician will directly support the Manufacturing Engineering group by identifying and troubleshooting the processes, materials, and equipment used on the manufacturing floor. To accomplish these goals, they will assemble, install, operate, calibrate and maintain equipment – all the while making adjustments to optimize performance. Additionally, they will support the creation and dissemination of work instructions and online tools used by our Production staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support
- Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions to Manufacturing Engineering.
- Develop, assemble, procure or modify existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineers with revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods (OI) and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams
- Schedule, complete and document routine maintenance on applicable manufacturing and test equipment.
Lean Processes and Testing
- Ability to offer insight into lean processes and make recommendations for change
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.
- Perform tests, gather data, and write results/reports with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
- Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.

Basic Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree. Emphasis on electronics preferred
- Two to four years of experience as an engineering technician, or a relevant equivalent role, working within manufacturing technology, industrial automation, complex machines, or electronics.
- Proven ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering diagrams.
- Documented ability to independently perform tasks and complete work on schedule.
- Proven strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
- Proven working knowledge of computer programs used in engineering, manufacturing (e.g., ERP or MRP) and office environments (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Demonstrated experience executing on leadership’s directions and plans.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a positive manner across disciplines and departments.
- To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year working in a manufacturing environment for electronic assembly.
- Relevant technical training or engineering or lean certifications
