Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations within a fast-paced food distribution facility. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, ensuring food safety compliance, optimizing inventory control, and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and experience in cold storage and food-grade warehousing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists Warehouse Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
- Schedules and oversees warehouse staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements and oversees FEFO/FIFO inventory management best practices to ensure system accuracy and product integrity
- Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
- Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
- Coordinates stock and inventory replenishments as needed.
- Ensures accurate placement and organization of all inventory within designated warehouse locations to maintain efficient stock management
- Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.
- Coordinates transfers of inventory between facilities.
- Monitors Warehouse expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.
- Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
- Resolves routine fleet and equipment issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Trains staff on in-house tools and best practices (i.e. ERP and WMS tools, Forklift, EPJ, safety, etc)

Requirements
Required Skills:
- Proficient in FEFO inventory management methodologies
- 1-3 years of experience with ERP/WMS with a focus on shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- 1-3 years of experience in Food Distribution in cold storage
- Languages: English (Proficient), Spanish (any proficiency is a plus)
- Power Equipment Experience (Forklift & EPJ )
- Fleet Management Tools such as GeoTab
- Employee Timecard Review
- Experience with WH/Fleet Maintenance
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the food & beverage industry within distribution or manufacturing are required.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus, not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods on feet up to full time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
