Scope:
BeVera Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health Education Support Specialist to provide administrative, technical, and programmatic support for health education initiatives. This role will assist in the design, coordination, and delivery of health promotion and disease prevention activities across diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health communications, training support, and public health education, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Program Support & Coordination
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing health education programs, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for training sessions, conferences, and community events.
- Support the collection and organization of educational materials, toolkits, and online resources.
Health Education & Communication
- Draft, edit, and format health education materials, presentations, and fact sheets tailored to target audiences.
- Maintain awareness of plain-language and culturally appropriate communication strategies.
- Assist with digital content updates, including SharePoint sites, learning platforms, and newsletters.
Data & Reporting
- Track program participation, evaluation surveys, and outcomes for reporting purposes.
- Prepare summaries, progress reports, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Support compliance with federal and organizational requirements for documentation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, program managers, and partner organizations to ensure timely delivery of educational activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to health education programs.
- Assist in promoting employee engagement and participation in health initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of experience in health education, training coordination, or public health program support.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with health promotion and disease prevention principles.
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience supporting training programs, community engagement, or outreach initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of CDC, NIH, or other federal public health programs.
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential desirable.
- Experience with virtual training platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, WebEx).
- Background in culturally tailored health communication strategies.
