Oaknoll is excited to announce a new opening for a Scheduler within our Health Center! Our deadline for taking applications is Friday,  September 12th, at 12pm!


The Scheduler will be a key part of our healthcare team, helping to not only ensure staffing and care needs are met for our residents, but building relationships with staff and residents alike and learning how to best build and coordinate our teams to CREATE home for our residents. Oaknoll is seeking a full-time Scheduler to join our team in the Health Center. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating schedules of CNAs and Nurses (RNs/LPNs) to ensure appropriate coverage 24/7 in line with state regulations, resident needs and acuity, and Oaknoll’s standards. This will include developing and maintaining both daily schedules and biweekly schedules, communicating staff assignments promptly in a professional manner, responding to callouts and last minute schedule changes, maintaining employees within our scheduling and charting software systems, supporting new staff and orienting them to our scheduling policies, and assisting during resident mealtimes or by filling an open shift as needed. Additionally, you will assist with preparing resident rooms for new admissions, help with skilled care insurance pre-approvals and billing, long term care insurance claims, and insurance audits, and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a certified CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) in Iowa or have the ability to become certified within 4 months of start date.
  • Must be a certified CMA(Certified Med Aide) in Iowa or have the ability to become certified within 12 months of start date.
  • Must be capable of analyzing staffing metrics, calculating ratios and percentages, and preparing reports identifying overtime or understaffing trends.
  • Must communicate respectfully, with a calm and positive attitude under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
  • Prior scheduling experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
