Position Overview:
CMG Financial is hiring a Quality Control Reverification Specialist who can work onsite at least one day a week at our Corporate Headquarters in San Ramon, CA. They will be responsible for completing reverifications of information and documentation relied upon for loan approval, in connection with quality control reviews. reviews loan files to ensure adherence to processing, underwriting and closing guidelines with a specific focus on identifying, ordering and tracking loan level required document reverification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:
- Review loan files to identify relevant approval, credit, income, employment and asset source documentation to be reverified
- Utilize third-party vendor systems to complete reverifications
- Draft, package and mail business letters for distribution to external entities
- Communicate with external entities via telephone to identify appropriate methods for reverification
- Review returned reverification for consistency with source documentation
- Escalate inconsistencies and/or unacceptable reverifications to the Quality Control Analyst, Fraud Investigations team and/or Quality Control leadership, as appropriate
- Retain data and documentation related to the reverification process in the Loan Origination and QC systems
- Maintain records of the most appropriate and effective methods to obtain reverifications for future reference
- Assist in the development and enhancement of procedures and job aids related to reverifications to ensure the process is up to date at all times
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be able to work on-site at least one day a week in San Ramon, CA
- Three (3) years of experience within the mortgage industry, including experience in Processor, Closer and/or Funder roles preferred
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- BytePro and ACES experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality

They enjoy engaging others via the phone instead of relying solely on electronic communication and would value a hybrid work environment (80% remote, 20% on-site).
PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.
CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $55,000 to $65,000. Factors that affect base salary may include: Quality Control experience, overall knowledge of mortgage processing, number of years worked in mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
