Our unique model and multidisciplinary expertise have driven rapid growth and high customer demand.

Re:Build New Kensington (RBNK) is central to this mission. Strategically located in a legacy industrial region with a deep talent base, RBNK focuses on scalable, high-complexity manufacturing for RBM customers across aerospace, defense, and beyond.

Who we are looking for

As demand grows for Re:Build’s aerospace and defense manufacturing capabilities, we are launching a dedicated aerospace production line at RBNK—focused on precision components and electromechanical sub-assemblies. We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing leader to launch this critical expansion from the ground up.

What you get to do

As Director of Aerospace Systems Manufacturing, you will have full operational ownership of our new aerospace business line at RBNK. You will report to the General Manager and work closely with site leaders across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Operations to launch and scale production.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Stand up a new production operation: Build the team, processes, and systems required for component manufacturing and electromechanical assembly.
  • Drive operational readiness: Partner across functions—Engineering, Program Management, Quality, HR, Finance—to ensure successful program launch and production ramp.
  • Deliver on SQDC targets: Establish workflows and metrics to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals.
  • Lead with impact: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team aligned with Re:Build’s values and performance expectations.
  • Run the floor: Oversee day-to-day production, coordinate execution across shifts, and drive continuous improvement using Lean tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Plan for growth: Manage capacity, budgeting, and performance reporting; contribute to strategic planning and financial forecasting.
  • Foster alignment and engagement: Ensure strong communication across teams and cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, with a preference for electromechanical systems or high-volume, high-precision assembly
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling operations in fast-paced environments
  • Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing, ERP systems, and production planning best practices
  • Strong business acumen; ability to interpret operating metrics and financials to drive performance
  • Inspiring leadership style, with a track record of developing talent and fostering high-engagement teams
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • U.S. Person status required under Export Control regulations (U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
