Buyer 2 Job Summary


The Buyer 2 teammate is responsible for the procurement of materials to support manufacturing processes, managing inventory levels, collaborating with suppliers, mitigating risk and exposure, and contributing to cost optimization strategies. This role requires strong decision-making, analytical, and negotiation skills to ensure material availability while driving efficiency and cost savings.


Buyer 2 Responsibilities


Material Procurement

  • Solicit and manage contracts that support production and mitigate exposure and risks.
  • Purchase materials required for manufacturing processes.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, and transportation terms with suppliers to optimize costs.
  • Examine, select, and order materials based on quality, quantity, and specification requirements.
  • Authorize payments and handle returns of materials as necessary.
