PURPOSE:

Empowers and teaches participating parents to be their child's first educator by meeting with them in their home on a weekly basis to role play the curriculum.     


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

  • Conduct trainings sessions with parents in their homes on a weekly basis to role play the HIPPY curriculum.
  • Review activity packets from the previous week.
  • Instruct the parents in the upcoming week’s material.
  • Discuss and address any problems that arise, and pass information on to Director.
  • Meet with the parents as a group in person or by Zoom monthly for parent support activities.
  • Must be proficient in the REDCap data entry program. Service records enter daily after each visit. Maintain current and accurate files in REDCap on all parents.
  • Must use the BOX system to drop Eligibility Form TANF applications with all documentation required.
  • Actively recruits new parents to participate in the program. Full Time staff required to have 25 children and Part time staff required to have 15 children.
  • Attend all In-Service staff meetings, enhancement activities, State and National HIPPY Conferences, as required.
  • Report weekly to the coordinator on caseload and REDCap data quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including intangible qualities (e.g., friendliness, openness, nonjudgmental attitude, enthusiasm, team player etc.) 
  • Ability to serve as a role model (positive attitude, professional dress, demeanor, and behavior)
  •  Assist in research information gathering.        


Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent. Be a current or past participant in the program or a member of the target population or location with access to a child who would qualify for the program.
