This is a unique, once-in-a career opportunity to design a program from the ground up, inspire the next generation of physical therapists, and shape the future of physical therapy education. The Department of Advanced Clinical Sciences invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Associate Professor and Doctor of Physical Therapy Founding Program Director. This will be a twelve-month academic position, with a teaching load adjusted based on the demands of the director role.

The Founding Program Director will lead the development and implementation of the DPT program, including submission of application for candidacy as part of the accreditation process. The director will oversee the development of evidence-based curriculum, manage daily program operations, recruit and mentor faculty, foster clinical partnerships with the DCE, and work closely with faculty and staff to support student success. Responsibilities include overseeing program admissions, developing and maintaining accreditation reports, and participating in department, college, and university governance. Additional duties include teaching, student advising, program assessment, and continuing professional development. Candidates with demonstrated multicultural competence, encompassing the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations, will receive additional consideration.
