ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Configuration Manager at Biofire, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and ensuring smooth execution of hardware changes. We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and collaborative to support our engineering and operations teams and help drive the timely execution of hardware change orders, enforce data integrity and governance standards, and serve as a trusted resource for PLM best practices across the company.

To succeed, you will need to deliver accurate, compliant, and on-time change control execution while ensuring all data, documentation, and training remain aligned with Biofire’s standards and regulatory expectations. You will need to be a disciplined systems thinker who is eager to maintain order, consistency, and compliance in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Managing and administrating hardware change orders from submission to completion, ensuring timely approvals and implementation;

  • Acting as the administrative approver for all change orders, reviewing 100% of affected items for compliance with PLM standards;

  • Tracking, maintaining, and reporting change management records and metrics;

  • Verifying accuracy of documentation, BOM structures, and revision control for all affected items;

  • Proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies in data to preserve system integrity;

  • Regularly auditing open change orders to prevent stagnation and ensuring implementation tasks are completed by responsible stakeholders;

  • Communicating updates clearly and proactively to stakeholders, minimizing surprises and improving preparedness;

  • Monitoring PLM training compliance, maintaining training records and access privileges, and addressing gaps with individuals and managers;

  • Responding to PLM-related user inquiries and providing guidance on training, compliance, and access requirements;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex procedural topics to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams to drive accountability and ensure timely task completion.

The compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000/annual salary + stock options + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

 

LOCATION

This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.
