POSITION: Assistant Site Manager FLSA STATUS: Part-Time Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Client Services Deputy Director SUPERVISES: N/A
APPROVED BY: Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting the Site Manager by serving meals, keeping the area pleasant and sanitary, helping with planned center activities and providing aid with the recordkeeping of services delivered by the nutrition program at the center.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 5 hours per day (estimated 25 hours per week) with flexibility to work additional hours when requested or as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides support for the maintenance of client participation records, as necessary.
- Maintains sanitary conditions at all times in regard to their person, volunteers, utensils, and facility.
- Follows guidance from the Site Manager to take accurate temperatures of food, serve proper portions of food, and to inform the Nutrition Coordinator of any unacceptable food items and/or practices observed.
- Aids the Site Manager to ensure that meal reservations are recorded in advance in order to estimate food consumption and to avoid waste.
- Supports the Site Manager by collecting and totaling daily food orders to be sent to the Nutrition Coordinator by designated time.
- Completes incident reports as required for the documentation of any employee or client incidents.
- Assists with investigations and strives to resolve the concerns, problems, and/or complaints of clients with help from Site Manager and/or Deputy Director.
- Serves as acting Site Manager in their absence
- Purchases food or supplies as directed by the Site Manager and/or Nutrition Coordinator.
- Assists with inventory and informs the Site Manager of any low supplies.
- Upholds the Code of Conduct standards.
- Performs any other duties as required.
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds and to occasionally lift and carry with others equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level and to occasionally squat, crouch, kneel and balance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in a climate controlled office setting
- Participates in occasional outdoor activities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of previous office experience.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining a high degree of organization
- Knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of the elderly
- Excellent communication skills; oral and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be certified and able to conduct CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen protection (trainings available at no cost through COAST)
PAY RANGE: $12.00 per hour
