Our company is seeking a Folding/Imaging Mechanic for 1st shift (6am to 2pm). This candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining folding and imaging equipment within the print production process. This role ensures high-quality output, efficient machine performance, and adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting team members on the production line.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a wide range of folding and imaging equipment, including feeders, counters, glue systems, inkjet heads, and camera systems.
- Perform routine setup tasks such as paper transport, attaching components, configuring glue applications, and loading inkjet files.
- Build and adjust inkjet and camera system setups, including placement, verification, and file management.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete minor repairs when parts are available.
- Collaborate with operators, feeders, and catchers to ensure proper loading, production, and packing of products.
- Achieve and strive to exceed target production rates while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor quality control systems, respond to QC alerts, and escalate issues to supervisors or technicians as needed.
- Train team members on machine setup, safety procedures, and operational best practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of required production documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with SG360° policies and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Safety training in accordance with OSHA standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to walk or stand for the entire assigned shift.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds during equipment setup.
- Exposure to hot, humid, and/or dusty environments.
- Possible exposure to non-toxic chemical mists or vapors, including UV chemicals.
