ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales Leadership – Supervise and guide sales managers and coordinators to achieve and exceed individual and departmental sales goals.
- Revenue Growth – Support the development and execution of sales strategies across group, leisure, casino, and corporate markets by driving account growth, securing new business, and optimizing cross-selling opportunities. Monitor performance metrics (RevPAR, ADR, booking pace, account production) and adjust tactics to maximize revenue and market share.
- Client Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts; oversee negotiations, proposals, and contracts.
- Team Development – Mentor sales team members, provide coaching, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Operational Oversight – Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and revenue performance to the Director of Sales.
- Cross-Department Collaboration – Partner with events, catering, and operations teams to deliver seamless execution of group and corporate business.
- Market Insights – Monitor competitor activity, market conditions, and customer trends to support proactive adjustments in strategy.
- Brand Representation – Represent Chamonix Hotel Casino at site visits, trade shows, and networking events as directed.
- Leadership Support – Act as second-in-command to the Director of Sales, stepping in as acting Director when necessary.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive hospitality/casino sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving group, corporate, or leisure sales.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in sales or marketing within the hospitality industry is required.
- Prior experience in a gaming environment is highly preferred.
- Experience in leading teams and executing strategic sales initiatives is essential.
Certifications & Licenses
- Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado State Gaming License.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods to complete administrative duties, including working at a computer.
- Occasionally required to kneel, squat, or lift items up to 30 pounds, such as supplies, promotional materials, or office equipment.
- Willingness to work beyond a standard workweek as business needs dictate, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
Work Environment
- This role involves frequent interaction with large groups of people in an indoor environment.
- Must be comfortable working in areas with high noise levels, such as casinos, restaurants, or event spaces.
Compensation and Benefits:
$95,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience
