Senior Fund Accountant – Real Assets Accounting
London
The successful candidate will join the Real Assets team as a Senior Fund Accountant and will be closely working with the Client and Client Service Managers based in UK/Jersey/Lux in connection with the performance of duties related to the administration of Real Asset Funds. Candidate should have 5 plus years of relevant experience in the Real Asset Fund Accounting and NAV calculations. Candidate must be well versed in Yardi and should have relevant experience in Property Accounting, Client relationship management, Team management, Process improvements, Preparing Financials and other Client reporting.
Reporting
The position reports to Associate Director – Real Assets Accounting
Job specification
- Review and sign off Management Accounts and various client reporting that include booking keeping journal entries/accruals/adjustments.
- Review and sign off Quarterly and Annual NAV packs/Financials for Real Asset Funds/Properties including the consolidated accounts/financials for SPVs and Properties.
- Assist with the tax compliance process for CIT, VAT and CIS
- Contribute to expansion and integration of Yardi technology platforms, with a focus on Yardi as the core Real Assets Software Platform
- Perform/review Fund/Property/Lease set-up, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related activities in accounting platform (Yardi).
- Maintain a pro-active customer focus at all times, monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables and interact with Management and Clients
- Ensure SLA targets are met for all deliverables.
- Operate as a contact point for clients; able to respond to and resolve queries or escalate where necessary and act as a liaison with various internal /external parties – i.e. auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors.
- Assist in client audit procedures, invoice payments on behalf of clients, prepare and analyse complex Excel spreadsheets and liaise with property management companies.
Skills Required
- Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements
- Need to have knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
- Self-motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.
- Sound judgment, problem solving and analytical skills..
- Relevant Experience – Minimum 5 years of public/private real estate accounting work experience
- Part qualified, CA/CMA/CFA/CPA/ACCA
