1. Description of the department
The AXA IM Prime Private Equity (PE) team focused on primaries, co-investments and secondaries opportunities globally

2. Purpose of the role
The Private Equity Intern will provide support to the PE team predominantly in relation to the analysis of investment opportunities including primary, secondary and co-investments, monitoring / reporting of the existing PE portfolio and market research

3. Main responsibilities of the role
a) Investment Analysis 
Under the supervision of team member/s, contributing, where possible, to the due diligence work on fund offerings, co-investment and secondaries opportunities to support the team and to the drafting of investment committee papers (track record and financial analysis, review of financial models and business assumptions, understanding of financial modelling, analysis of asset managers’ capabilities, identification of key risks and issues etc.)

b) Portfolio monitoring and reporting
-    Supporting in the quarterly monitoring / reporting of the PE portfolio, in coordination with team members within the PE and dedicated reporting team
-    Contributing to the monitoring of investments made, including investment performance
-    Contributing to refining and maintaining quarterly reporting tools that fit with AXA and third-party clients’ requirements

c) Market analysis 
-    Contributing to Private Equity market research carried out by the team 
-    Supporting the issuance of ad-hoc and regular market updates for internal stakeholders and external clients 
-    Contributing to theme specific deep dive research and/or presentations

Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
-    Pursuing Bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance/economics or management/business
-    First experience in finance, acquired from prior internships / jobs (investment banking, consulting, asset management or private market investments related firms) would be a plus
-    Available to start from the end of September or early October for a minimum period of 9-12 months

Experience/Skills:
-    Interest for Private Markets / Equity as an asset class
-    Understanding of asset management industry / environment 
-    Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel) 
-    Interest in ESG themes and impact on Private Equity as an asset class
-    Fluency in written and spoken English
