Job Description:We currently have a unique opportunity for a talented Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) to train and upskill cohorts of healthcare professionals in either the Diploma of Mental Health or Certificate IV in Mental Health. This 12-month course has a unique blended online learning approach which ensures a flexible and engaging learning environment with the first cohort commencing in just 12 weeks!
Join our passionate HCA Education team to deliver training in a growing and critical sector—mental health—supporting the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our trainers are provided with structured session plans and resources prior to training sessions. Assessment responsibilities include both practical observation and marking of theoretical tests, as well as other responsibilities such as:
Applying a variety of teaching methods (including workplace mentoring, where appropriate)
Preparing and maintaining teaching and learning resources
Marking assessments and providing feedback to students (within required timeframes and using an LMS)
Participating in Validation and/or Moderation Sessions
Identifying and reporting student learning difficulties
Supporting students with additional learning needs
Assisting with the review of teaching programs
This is a casual role, up to 3 days per week.

As a qualified AHPRA-registered Mental Health RN with post-graduate qualifications in mental health, you are passionate about adult learning and developing future talent in healthcare. You will ideally hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or be willing to achieve this qualification prior to commencing.
