JOB SUMMARY

The pool attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the pool area and surrounding grounds and ensuring guest satisfaction by servicing guests as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains pool area quality standards by thoroughly performing all cleaning duties; blower, pressure washing, litter picking, trash removal, cleaning chairs, cabanas & restroom care, high dusting, umbrella repairs, painting, chemical readings, brushing and netting pool, and completing projects assigned by manager.
  • Promotes and provides exemplary guest service for both internal and external customers
  • Answers questions and offers information in a courteous manner. Responsible for monitoring inventory (cleaning supplies, paper products) for specific assigned work areas
  • Understands and demonstrates the proper use of safety practices & ensures training standards are maintained for the department
  • Completing AM or PM inspections and work orders as needed
  • Coordinates with Technician to ensure all water quality requirements are met including, but not limited to, testing water and recording test results
  • Implement and monitor opening and closing procedures to comply with safety and cleanliness requirements
  • Inspect pool equipment including mechanical operations and leisure areas; to maintain and uphold quality standards
  • Understand and apply all company policies, rules and regulations consistently
  • Overtime as needed.

REQUIREMENTS (Competencies, skills, attributes, experience, licenses, certifications, required)

  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D.
  • Experience working in a hotel or resort a plus
  • Must be fluent in oral and written English
  • Bending, lifting, follow directions
  • Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments
