Job Description
At ACCIONA, we are at the forefront of sustainability and renewable energy, leading global initiatives to build a better future. We are seeking an experienced Senior O&M Manager to support the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of large-scale water treatment projects, focusing on both conventional and desalination plants. This is a vital role that combines engineering expertise with innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender/Bid Participation:
Develop presentations for client interactive workshops.
Formulate strategic questions to gather valuable information for bids.
Incorporate client objectives into tender offers.
Evaluate risks and opportunities, integrating them into overall price estimates.
Develop and evaluate alternative solutions using value engineering.
O&M Activities:
Plan, design, and review process modeling.
Develop and complete technical calculations, documents, and schedules, including procurement specifications.
Prepare and manage digital design information.
Prepare and present O&M cost estimates.
O&M Project Delivery:
Develop and compile project documents, communicate with clients and partners, and coordinate site visits and technical meetings.
Ensure process equipment selection, construction, and installation meet design and project specifications.
Support management with scoping, specification, and tendering during the procurement phase.
Coordinate and file project O&M documentation, including tender and contract documents, correspondence, and safety, quality, and environmental documentation.
Contribute to the development of Management Plans, Functional Descriptions, Commissioning, ITPs, performance tests, and O&M documentation.
Manage resolution of non-critical project issues through analysis and recommendations.
Communicate with the Project Team, third parties, and Head Office on technical issues.
Complete requests for quotations for vendor equipment.
Digital Engineering Tools:
Use digital models to assist in planning and coordinating site activities.
Identify utilities above/below ground and live or redundant services.
Analyze the usage of DE tools for information sharing and collaboration during design processes.
Promote DE technologies and applications in the field and support site personnel.
Required Skills and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English (including technical report writing).
Ability to prioritize and work autonomously on tasks.
Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
Willingness and flexibility to travel both interstate and overseas.
Spanish language skills preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Experience in the process design of conventional and desalination water treatment processes.
Previous experience leading a design team or in a similar position.
Capabilities in supervising engineering design development, including process calculations, specifications, and drawings in a digital engineering environment.
