Job Duties:
- Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the company
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Maintain the general ledger
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and support the close of monthly books with the Controller
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly and verify deposits
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections
- Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Manage the invoicing system
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- 1-2 years of related experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing or start-up environment preferred
- Experience with NetSuite required
Physical Demands:
- Able to sit and/or stand for the duration of the workday
- Able to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
