Job Description
Role: Regional Finance Controller
Division: VTI
Function: VTI- Finance & Accounts - Retail Finance
Reporting into: Retail Finance Controller
Level: AM/DM
Purpose of the Role
Regional Finance Controller is responsible for accounting and business control of the complete region. RFC is part of the regional management team . RFC supports the regional team in business planning, track financial performance, control accounts receivable. RFC coordinates with Central function on various matters with the objective of maintaining financial control and accurate financial reporting. This role takes care of customer accounts reconciliation & sign off, monitors various compliances, coordinates with HO on GST related matters, handles audit matters, etc. With increased volume and complexities in business and to ensure better financial control and adherence of process and policies RFC plays a vital role in the organization.

Indirect reportees: 0
Education
- M Com, CA or CWA
Experience
- 10-12 Years
Business Understanding
- Understanding of various business processes
- Good understanding of the FI Module in SAP
Area of Responsibility
Business Control
Evaluate credit proposals, negotiate credit limits as per policy, monitor accounts receivable status, follow up with customers for collection, escalate deviations to credit committee and provide inputs on ratio analysis, forecast of part sales to the customer, coordinate with legal counsel for recovery cases IN ORDER TO maintain cash flow and ensure 100% collections. Execute new/improved processes as per guidelines IN ORDER TO ensure uniformity of processes and improved productivity.

Finance & Accounting
Conduct accounts reconciliation w.r.t aftermarket customers and dealers, head office, branch accounts, and shared service, and stock, process accounts payable to vendors IN ORDER TO maintain timely and accurate books of accounts in the region.

Business Analysis and MIS
Prepare and present MIS for accounts receivable, stock turn, profitability to head office IN ORDER TO meet user's information requirements. Analyze Key operating expenses of area, region with respect to budget and provide required input to regional business heads for corrective action. Provide required input for annual BP activities of respective regions.

Indirect Taxation
Provide inputs for GST related matters and ensure appropriate tax compliances under GST and completion of various VAT and CST assessment of earlier years for the regions.

Legal & Statutory compliances
Monitor compliance with various applicable acts and statutes such as factories act, pollution control act, etc., seek legal advice for compliance from company secretary and consultants, coordinate with internal and external positions to complete statutory registration IN ORDER TO maintain compliance with statutes and minimize exposure.

Audit & Administration Support
Coordinate audit activity, provide clarifications to queries raised by statutory and internal auditors IN ORDER TO maintain compliance with statutory requirements in the region. Act as administrative in charge of the region and ensure all administrative activities are kept in place.
