Create impact as a Manager, Employee Communications

Your Role  

We're looking for a strategic communicator to join our Corporate Affairs team as a Senior Employee Communications Partner. In this high-impact role, you’ll work closely with Group Executives and Executive General Managers to develop and deliver internal communication strategies that elevate leadership effectiveness, boost employee engagement, and connect teams to our purpose, strategy, values, and behaviours.

You’ll play a key role in shaping enterprise-wide campaigns, leading major portfolios of work, and offering expert advice to senior leaders across the business. As a leader within the Employee Communications team, you’ll also help guide work allocation, drive innovation, and continuously improve how we engage our people.

This is more than a communications role — it’s an opportunity to influence culture, deliver measurable outcomes, and be a trusted advisor at the highest levels of the organisation. This is a permanent position based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).

About You  

  • 15 years + relevant industry experience preferred
  • Extensive experience developing and executing communications plans and materials aligned with Group Strategy
  • Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing leaders to deliver results
  • Courage and ability to challenge and influence executives
  • Ability to build collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree Qualifications in Communications, or a related field (essential)
  • Experience leading an in-house communications team
  • Experience in large, complex, customer-facing, highly regulated company preferred
  • Understanding of broader societal trends
