Position: Attendance and Greeting Secretary
Department: Upper Moreland Intermediate School
Reports to: Assigned Assistant Principal
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) – Educational Support Professional Association
Schedule: Full Time, 8 hours/day, 10 Months
Pay Rate: Grade 3, $24.25/hour

SUMMARY:
The role of the Attendance and Greeting Secretary is to provide clerical support for the student attendance in the assigned building. Additional duties include greeting visitors at the building and ensuring compliance with visitor procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
(Other appropriate duties may be assigned.)- Records attendance and accounts for absence coding
- Reviews student absences and communicates with families
- Records early dismissal notes/late arrival notes and accounts for absences in eSchool
- Verifies teacher inputs into student attendance entries and follows up as needed
- Records internship student attendance and accounts for presence on campus
- Records Eastern Center Technology student attendance, accounts for presence on campus, and reconciles data with Eastern (High School only)
- Records MCCC Program attendance and accounts for presence on campus (High School only)
- Reviews Student Attendance Improvement Plans (SAIPs) and records interventions
- Prepares truancy letters and files court complaints
- Verifies senior arrival, departure, and privileges (High School only)
- Accounts for Eastern Center Technology student departures and arrivals (High School only)
- Organizes distribution, accountability, replacement and management of lanyards/ID cards
- Greets visitors and monitors door security (verify credentials and clearances)
- Distributes student materials and resources
- Prepares monthly attendance report
- Provide telephone support by answering calls and transferring to appropriate individuals
- Provide support to residency investigations
- Other building specific duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Secretary experience preferred
- Keyboard proficiency and ability to use various office machines and equipment
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.
