What is my role?
As a Merchandiser for the Mens & Boys Division, you will work closely with sales to maximize our existing penetration and drive new opportunities, ensuring annual sales projections and margin goals are met.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare for meetings: identify key agenda items, ensure projected/ATS inventory is strategically included, and organize all books/samples needed for the success of every meeting.
- Create all presentations using Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Accountable to ensure that separations, sizing, films, pad prints, blank needs, etc. are quickly and clearly communicated internally
- Provide direction for art development to Creative Director
- Work closely with Design/Trend Director to align on key items/core initiatives based on current account direction and trends.
- Work with Design and PD for new item development, costing and sampling. Must have a strong understanding of fabrications and silhouettes
- Approve counter sample that reflects design and client needs
- Work closely with Licensing to maintain licensing goals and explore new opportunities for Brand placement
- Provide strategic analysis: help identify current sales trends and drive incremental growth by building on successes and executing new and fresh ideas
- Maintain marketing tools (cads of top sellers, hot key items, development samples, etc.) to assist in the selling process.
- Analyze weekly sales reports on what is working and what is not to provide a baseline for future art needs.
- Complete ownership of strategic planning and execution of all sales and merchandising functions, ensuring all T&A calendars are met and maintained.
- Must be able to attend Buyer meetings to support Sales
- Must do comp shopping on a monthly basis and compile reports to share out
What You’ll Need
- Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
- Must have an understanding of licensing and pop culture trends
- Proficiency in MS Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
- Understanding of merchandising process
- Strong sense of color and ability to presentations
- Adaptable in a fast paced, high growth work environment
