Summary

 

Nisga’a Tek, LLC is looking for a Warrant Officer Recovery Vehicle Instructor to instruct the process of removing or towing vehicles from a specific area. This person will support the Army Logistics University, Fort Lee, Virginia. Its mission is to provide academic and tactical training services and support to the schools, colleges, the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Operations, and the ALU Support Battalion.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

  • Teach the understanding of recovery and towing procedures along with the application of Risk Management, from the start of the planning process all the way through the execution phase, is critical to mission success
  • Teach all aspects of recovering disabled, overturned, mired and nosed vehicles
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

  • Must be able to perform outside in rain, snow, sleet, fog, humidity, dust, wind and pollen and in extreme weather as low as 10°F and as high as 110°F for the entire workday and be capable of entering water pits, mud pits, and sand pits in performing the Recovery Training Division's mission
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Skilled in operating all classes of wheeled vehicles, manage fleets, and lead sections/squads
  • Ability to facilitate training and speak effectively before both groups and individuals
  • Ability to act in a discreet manner
  • Exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience and experience in 91A, 91B, 91M or 91S MOS’ as evidenced by possessing one (1) of the following: 1) a certificate in the aforementioned 91 series MOS; OR a DD Form 214 that states trained in the aforementioned 91 Series MOS. The Contractor shall have experience at the level of SGT or above; WOBC Graduate preferred. The Contractor shall have a minimum of three (3) years each of technical and tactical experience in the Wheeled and Tracked Vehicle Recovery Operations Process (H8 or H9). They shall meet all requirements in accordance with AR 600-55 for having a State of Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A and shall produce a current valid State of Virginia CDL Class A, upon start of performance on this task order.
  • Previous experience in driving a tow truck is important

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
