YOUR TASKS:
- Tool measurement and testing according to the blueprints and appropriate measurement tools
- Produce product in accordance with job router, print and capacity in the most efficient manner
- Implement and inspect equipment maintenance according to maintenance schedule
- Ensure work area and equipment are maintained, organized and clean to Mapal standards
- Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure and standards
- Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Plant Manager
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc
- Program tools with appropriate geometries for various materials
- Optimize cutting parameters for efficient cost-per-cut analysis
YOUR PROFILE:
- Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude and approach
- High school diploma, technical training or certification in machining or related field is preferred
- 5+ years experience with CNC grinding/programming/operating preferably within the cutting tool industry (3-5 years desired experience)
- Ability to apply standard inspection techniques
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency in CNC equipment operation; Experience with CAD/CAM software and tool programming; Knowledge of cutter reconditioning and sharpening
- High quality awareness
- Health, hygiene and safety oriented
- Detail oriented and skilled in understanding process workflow
