Role:
Builds and enhances loyalty with credit union members and potential members by providing outstanding service and selling appropriate products and services to meet their unique needs throughout their financial journey. Analyzes member data to offer customized solutions, using in-depth knowledge of products, services and technologies. Through effective outbound calling efforts, continually meets or exceeds minimum performance standards. Supports and encourages an environment where the focus is on creating loyalty with our members through winning relationships. Utilizes cross-sell opportunities to provide exceptional experiences by recommending products and services that deepen member participation.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
75% Proactively initiates outbound contacts to target members and potential new members to suggest needs-based products and services. Builds new and long-lasting relationships with members through cross-selling additional products and services as appropriate. Focuses calling efforts on increasing member participation and enhancing the overall relationship.
15% Maintains accurate and specific calling records. Consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations by successfully closing the sale. Updates the Member Relations Management (MRM) system with updated information. Stays current on all relevant training and compliance.
5% Acts in a back-up capacity for helping support the Member Service Representatives.
5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to organize well, time manage, and multi-task. Project management skills. Detail oriented. Strong computer and keyboarding skills. Ability to research and is solutions based. Ability to analyze, use critical thinking skills, and apply good judgment.
Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. May require working Saturdays or Sundays.
