General Purpose
Under the direction of the Curriculum Director, provides small group targeted intervention support for students in need of additional support outside the Core Instruction block. Ongoing assessments formal and informal assessments will guide instructional decision making Length: School year, with additional training periods outside school year. Collaboration occurs with key school and district staff.
Term: 20 to 30 hours per week
Reports to: Director of Curriculum
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide small group targeted reading instruction and intervention for identified students.
- Conducts on-going informal and formal assessments to identify needs and monitor progress.
- Collaborates with classroom teachers, instructional coaches, principal, and district staff to differentiate small group instruction.
- Participates in data analysis meetings to interpret student data and make instructional decisions.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the instructional coach and district staff.
- Plans and develops instructional lesson plans to meet district goals and objectives aligned to student outcomes.
- Establishes a calm learning environment for students.
- Participates in ongoing learning opportunities and applies learning to instructional planning and delivery.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two or four year degree preferred
Payment type: $25.00 per hour
