Duties

Responsible for completing administrative tasks, maintaining supplies, greeting customers, answering to customer's inquiries, and ensuring hygiene, public health and safety standards. Operating Snack Bar and Bowling counter within the Bowling Center. Assigns lanes to be used, operates control console, rents shoes, charge pro shop items, take phone orders, charge food in POS system and assist all customers. Conducts inventories of Pro Shop items and Snack Bar resale items, facility equipment and other supply items. Demonstrates and instructs participants on the proper use of the equipment and provides guidance and instruction on bowling techniques. Informs supervisor of equipment of malfunctions as well as other items needing maintenance or repair. In the absence of the manager, may supervise, lead, oversee and/or coordinate the daily activities of other employees, engaging in the performance of their duties. Assists in advertising and recruiting participants for leagues, tournaments, special events and open play activities. May be required to schedule and administer these activities in the capacity of league secretary or tournament directory. Insures activities are properly scheduled, facilities are set up and rules and regulations are observed. Opens and closes the bowling facility as required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience, which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of Bowling Center operations including the rules related to bowling and organization of leagues and tournaments. Must have a working knowledge of bowling machinery and equipment and bowling lane care. Mush have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items, an use of cash accountability control methods. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Prior experience in basic supply techniques is desirable. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
