Summary:
The Branch Manager directs the overall activities for the branch they are assigned ensuring conformances with compliance directives and Bank policies. Directs the activities of Branch staff and works with them to execute branch goals and action plans that align with overall Bank objectives. Fosters a positive work environment and ensures an overall excellent customer experience in the branch.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrates product and sales knowledge of all products and services of the bank related to daily job functioning.
- Conducts branch sales training meetings and one-on- one training/coaching meetings with direct reports.
- Implements sales campaigns set forth by Executive Officers to meet sales goals and objectives for the bank.
- Develops and implements branch business plan to achieve specified loan generation, deposit growth, product sales, cross-selling, relationship development, and retention goals.
- Manages difficult situations with customers and provides them resolutions, information, or other options. Ensures timely and proper response to reasonable requests.
- Ensures audit controls are followed to protect the bank from unnecessary risk and exposure.
- Creates and implements new ideas to attain new business that align with the Bank’s core values and strategic goals/objectives.
- Develops and grows business and consumer relationships.
- Participates in community and civic organizations/activities to enhance the Bank’s image and develop additional business and consumer relationships.
- Makes and services a variety of business and consumer loans both secured and unsecured to include real estate, small business, line of credit, home equity, and credit cards.
- Achieves individual sales and referral goals.
- Maintains regular, reliable attendance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Collaborates in the hiring, training, and retention of branch staff.
- Supervises, coaches, and develops staff regarding service expectations, sales/referral goals, policies, procedures, products, systems, and banking transactions.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws to include recruitment and hiring, coordinating training for new hires, assigning and directing staff as needed, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly supervises Branch staff within branch.

- Knowledge of general retail banking operations preferred.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience (Required and Preferred)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in management/supervisory role.
- Retail bank experience in customer service, branch operations, and/or consumer lending preferred.
- Any combination of education and related experience equivalent to an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or other related field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as a mortgage loan originator in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) or ability to become registered.

Position Type/Hours:
This is a full-time, exempt level position working Monday – Friday and rotating Saturdays with other days and hours as necessary to accomplish duties.
Travel:
Travel is primarily within the Bank’s market areas during the business day with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel required.
