CCB Packaging, a locally owned leader in the packaging industry, is looking for a Production Planner to join or team! This position is responsible for planning and preparing production schedules to ensure daily production requirements are achieved in order to meet customer expectations. This is a day-shift position. 


Responsibilities include:

• Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

• Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and any other reports and enters into ASC to maintain inventory.

• Conducts data analysis to support raw material and finished good demand.

• Sets up Bill of Materials in ASC; Maintain BOM's whenever there is a change so the proper item can be scanned into production.

• Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.

• Plans and schedules workflow for production according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.

• Plans changeovers and sanitation PM's and works with support staff to maximize efforts. 

• Follows up with all departments to ensure the production schedule and customer expectations are being met.

• Enters costing information in GP and tracks any changes to costing information.

• Communicates with customers throughout the production process to keep them informed of job status, to solicit and resolve inquiries and complaints and to procure information and materials needed to process their orders.

• Prepares and sends out daily schedule.

• Monitors all inventories on a daily basis to ensure that we have what is needed in order to complete the run for any given day, in addition to what is required for the remainder of the run. 

• Maintains plant performance with schedule and staff strengths.

• Accessible for customer and plant needs during all hours of operation.


Qualifications include:

• Associate’s degree in Business from a two-year college; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written

• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) along with computerized inventory system experience
