Project Development Analyst, Energy Business AMER

The Wärtsilä Energy Business – North Region team has a vacancy for a Project Development Analyst, Energy Business AMER.

Job summary: As a Project Development Analyst, you will support our Project Development team in originating, evaluating, and preparing new sales opportunities in the power generation sector. You will gain exposure to various stages of the Project Development, from initial concept to commercial operation of new power plants, and contribute to the successful execution of energy infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities: •    Conduct market research and opportunity assessments for potential project locations.
•    Manage the required permitting for environmental and electric interconnection issues 
•    Support the preparation of feasibility studies and financial models.
•    Co-ordinate the negotiation of land leases, permits, and other project agreements.
•    Conduct due diligence activities, including site visits, environmental assessments, and risk analyses.
•    Prepare project documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
•    Streamline project workflows, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive project successes

Education & Experience:•    Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, engineering, or other related field.
•    Strong analytical and research skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
•    Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
•    Demonstrate some experience in Project Development for infrastructure projects.
•    Interest in energy and sustainable development.
•    Multifaceted profile, able to integrate technical expertise, market analysis, regulatory compliance, and financial acumen.
