Job Description

 

About the Team: Engineer NVH represents axle production engineering and supports all acoustic and NVH-related engineering functions. This includes, but is not limited to, axle testing, equipment hardware, customer concerns, warranty, and production for all drive axles, ensuring that products are manufactured to design intent and meet specified performance metrics. 

 

What you can look forward to as an NVH Engineer:

  • Provide vehicle testing support to internal and external customers and the test lab. 
  • Collaborate and work with international test groups to utilize existing off-site test benches as applicable and ensure team adherence to common/standardized test procedures within the business unit. 
  • Support the regional business unit production plants, as the resident NVH representative, in all aspects regarding the EoL-NVH test of the product assemblies. This includes limit setting via correlation between test bench and vehicle, as well as production-related investigations in terms of quality issues, process changes, or the launch of new variants. 
  • Manage overall processes/projects related to maintaining, calibrating, and recording utilization and run hours of test benches/lab/garage equipment, software administration (installation, updates, licenses), and central documentation of testing results. 
  • Represent ZF Engineering, as the resident NVH representative, with internal/external customer staff and provide support and solutions for acoustic-related problems regarding our product in general and how our product reacts in the customer vehicle. Prepare and summarize reports, presentations, and data. 
  • Work with customers in all areas of business, including production, engineering, management, etc. 
  • Actively focus on remaining current regarding NVH and testing topics internally and with customers. 

 

Your profile as an NVH Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent related field and 5+ years of professional-level engineering/analysis experience (including co-op and internships). 
  • Understanding of NVH tools and methods, both hardware and software.  
  • 2+ years of experience providing supervisory support & program management support through NVH engineering activities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and related testing software.
  • Proven knowledge and ability in methods of communication, motivation, negotiation, and conflict management skills with a high level of initiative/drive. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
