Job Summary
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $122,000 - $132,000 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Five years of experience in food service management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge in food service and sanitation regulations for The Joint Commission (TJC) and Title 22. Uses HACCP principles to apply to food handling and storage policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, including active listening, dynamic flexibility, and critical thinking, and ability to multi-task and ensure effective time management.
- Strong decision making and reasoning skills, and ability to develop original ideas to solve problems, and conduct operations analysis and quality control analysis.
- Strong and effective interpersonal and work leadership skills to provide guidance to all levels of personnel.
- Intermediate computer application skills to include food service applications for point of sale, kitchen software, label software, digital boards, and inventory control software
- Ability to work at all campus locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably within business, culinary arts, or food service management from an accredited university/college or a dietary manager certification meeting California Title 22 standards.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
License/Certification
- ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent food protection manager certification recognized by the state of California. Valid certificate must be on file in department.
