The WBLAS Nutrition Services Department is looking for positive and energetic people who love children, are flexible, are good team players, and are willing to learn new skills in a fun and fast-paced environment. No experience needed! 

Hours: 5.75 hours/day, approximately 10:15am -4:00pm, School Days

• If desired, this position is eligible to combine with other district positions, such as out of school time programming, to increase hours or add potential health benefits 

Wage: Starting at $19.31 per hour with possible per hour increases as described below. 

• Additional $0.70 per hour pay increase with School Nutrition Association Level 3 Certification
• Additional $0.95 per hour pay increase with School Nutrition Association Level 4 Certification

Start Date:  As Soon As Possible

Location: The newly renovated White Bear Lake Area High School - Grades 9-12

Closing Date: 9/19/2025 -Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. 

Essential Functions:
This new position with White Bear Lake Area High School Nutrition Services will support an after-school snack program for students. Responsibilities include arriving in time to assist with lunch setup and service, followed by cleanup. Additional duties may include stocking vending machines and preparing for the next day. As school dismissal approaches, this position will oversee the a la carte snack room—managing the point-of-sale register through closing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students, is an independent worker, likes a variety of tasks, and wants to be part of a supportive school team!

• Fast-paced environment working to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and snacks in accordance with the menu
• Set up serving line, condiments, utensils, etc.
• Serve students and run point of sale register during meal service
• Clean and maintain the kitchen, operate the dish machine
• Demonstrate excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public
• Position may float on a case-by-case basis to help with staff coverage at other locations throughout the district
• Perform other duties as assigned
