Description

Better Balance Psychiatry is looking for someone who enjoys speaking with people, and who is courteous and outgoing both in person and over the phone. An individual who has great organizational skills and is happy working in an office setting. Experience in similar work is helpful, but we will train you to accommodate our office’s needs.


General tasks will include acquiring information to register and schedule new patients, verifying eligibility for insurance benefits, and more as needed. Additionally, the selected individual will be trained and certified in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Requirements

  

  • Greet patients in a friendly manner and help facilitate any paperwork/questions.
  • Answer/Return calls in an upbeat, friendly manner.
  • Schedule patients according to each provider’s schedule
  • Collect specimens as needed.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance with all conversations to always ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of the patient(s)
  • Verify and explain to patients their insurance eligibility and copay requirements.
  • Educate patients on office procedures and policies.
  • Enter patient demographics and information into the software for new patients, along with verifying any changes for returning patients.
  • Collect payments and copays.
  • Display knowledge of cross-training in TMS procedures to help provide coverage with our team.
  • Ensure clinic and waiting area are tidy and water plants on a regular schedule.


Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am– 5:30 pm


Qualifications:

  • Office experience of 1 year, preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with office equipment (fax machines, copiers, printers, scanners)
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suites)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must pass a background check.
