Business analyst
 
Job description:
The business analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and efficient solutions that meet the business needs. The role will bridge between the business and IT delivery teams for the finance, sales, and IT suite of applications. This role will be the SME that collaborates with stakeholders across various departments to understand their business requirements and pain points and translate into functional specifications and system designs to deliver an optimized solution.

 

 
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering, Process Improvement and Data Analysis
  • Work closely with the business lead in the US, EMEA, India and APAC to define the requirements and end to end business process flows
  • Partner with the business leads to understand the process and needs. Translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify and recommend process improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate with key business teams to collect data to understand and maintain focus on their analytical requirements including critical metrics and KPIs
  • Perform data analysis and identify patterns and trends
 
Solution Design and Implementation
  • Lead the design and implementation of ERP, sales and IT solutions ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards
  • Develop end-to-end solution design documents
  • Configure and customize applications based on business needs
  • Collaborate with integrations team to design and implement integrations between the business systems
  • Provide guidance on support on best practices for data mining, analysis and visualization
 
Stakeholder Collaboration and Project Management
  • Work closely with the business teams to align application capabilities with organizational needs
  • Partner with the business teams to identify their needs, manage expectations, mitigate risk and provide timely delivery
  • Provide guidance on application capabilities, potential solutions, and best practices
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Lead the project implementation from scoping, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, conversion, cutover and go live
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget
  • Communicate the requirements and solution design to the offshore development team
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions related to business performance drivers and advise which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Present clear and concise reporting to stakeholders using visualization tools
 
Training, Support and Documentation
  • Provide user training and walkthrough that the business users need to perform their daily work
  • Review and develop project documentation (configuration, functional design, technical design, data migration, cutover) and ensure it conforms to the best practice and approach
  • Prepare test cases and assist/support UAT
 
Continuous Improvements
  • Stay updated with latest features and functionalities of ERP, Sales and IT systems
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
  • Implement best practices to optimize performance and usability.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, CS, or related field
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in the implementation and support of Enterprise applications (like NetSuite, ServiceNow or Salesforce)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity and moderate proficiency with relevant technologies like Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • SQL and Excel skills with aptitude for learning other analytical tools
  • Familiar with visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI
  • Proficient in transforming and preparing data for analysis
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role
  • In-depth functional knowledge of Financials, Order Management, Revenue Recognition, Tax, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, and IT Service/Operations Management
  • Excellent project management, organizational, communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Strong understanding and experience in designing end-to-end business process flows.
  • Must have a learning and growth mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $96,840- $130,000 plus bonus and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
