Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Equipment Manager and/or Golf Course Superintendents, the Assistant Equipment Manager is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered golf course equipment and vehicles. The Assistant Equipment Manager also assists in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a preventative maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a top priority.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the Equipment Manager with the maintenance and repair of all golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Assist the Equipment Manager in ensuring all golf course mowers are achieving desired quality of cut, including reel and rotary mowers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all golf course maintenance equipment as directed.
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment maintenance records.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of the general operation and repair of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Golf course experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors in various conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
