Your tasks
- Selection and Release of suitable suppliers by executing process or technology audits.
- Identification and realization of potential for improvements within the supply chain, to increase the performance of suppliers and their economic efficiency.
- Supporting the realization of a working problem solving process by analysing the existing processes, installation of effective measures and appropriate training at suppliers to avoid problems and find sustainable solutions for the future.
- Planning, leading and execution of supplier workshops and/or projects including coordination of further Brose functions to find potential for improvements at the supplier.
- Planning and organization of supplier training by external service provider (e.g. Formal D or Vispiron Engineering GmbH)
- Searching, assesment and recommendation of suitable potential suppliers by using existing methods and tools for research, and first visits (etc,) based on the respective material group strategy.
- Monitoring in regards to quality, logistics and purchasing claims, based on scorecard evaluation/SAP information. Initiation and support of corrective actions for improvements.
- Assistance to execute risk analysis in regards of quality and logistics problems. Definition of measures and tracking the successful realization of the defined measures and checking the results.
- Communicate the Brose requirements to new suppliers in regards to the Brose organization, standards, quality and environment management, economical and logistical procedure including developing suppliers who do not fullfill the requirements.
Must be able to travel as much as 60% nationally, and hold the relevant documentation to be able to travel internationally up to twice per year
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university in business or engineering.
Minimum of 6 years in the supplier development or supplier quality function required.
Plant experience in quality or manufacturing engineering is a plus.
Stamping and tooling knowledge is required. Plastic injection molding knowledge is a plus. Advanced degree is preferred.
Knowledge in surface technology is a plus.
