What the Position Involves
- Leads new hire nursing and nursing assistant orientation.
- Develops and maintains educational plans and ongoing competency assessment systems.
- Collaborates with managers and educators to identify training needs, develop improvement plans, and support annual mandatory programs.
- Serves as AHA Training Site Coordinator, managing instructor orientation, class scheduling, equipment, and documentation.
- Communicates with regional CNOs and leaders regarding initiatives, projects, and education strategy.
- Acts as regional liaison to HealthStream resources and supports standardization of educational tools across Munson.
What’s Required
- RN license in the State of Michigan, in good standing.
- Master’s degree in nursing or education required; OR bachelor’s degree in clinical nursing or related field with 4+ years of education or unit leadership experience.
- Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in education, curriculum development, and adult learning.
- Experience leading change and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
- Current BLS required; BLS instructor license preferred.
- Must obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification within 1 year.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Must be able to travel 50–75% within northern Michigan. Valid Michigan driver’s license required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
