Your Responsibilities

 

As an Environmental Engineer for JD Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will:

 

  • Provide technical and process support to a manufacturing facility in Ottumwa, IA to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report environmental data related to compliance and sustainability for the facility.
  • Support the facility ISO 14001:2015 certification requirements including performing internal audits to verify conformance with EMS standards and applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Identify and manage projects related to environmental risk reduction.
  • Develop and deliver relevant and effective training and guidance to factory employees

What Skills You Need

 

  • Work experience or internship as an environmental professional.
  • Knowledge of environmental engineering topics and environmental regulations
  • Strong communication and demonstrated team collaboration skills. 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience working in the environmental compliance field at a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience managing hazardous waste.
  • Familiarity with ISO14001:2015 Management System or a similar management system.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Power Apps and SharePoint 

 

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
