The Role


Are you an IT professional who thrives on keeping systems secure, reliable, and user-friendly? NFSA is looking for an IT Systems & Network Administrator to support 80+ employees nationwide. You’ll combine hands-on IT support with strategic technology planning, making an immediate impact on staff productivity and long-term organizational success.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS


IT Systems Administration

· Oversee daily operation of IT systems, networks, software, and hardware across the organization.

· Manage Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.

· Administer user accounts, permissions, and security groups.

· Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to staff (hardware, software, connectivity issues).

· Manage and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and regular vulnerability assessments.

· Coordinate data backup and disaster recovery procedures.

· Coordinate Managed Service Provider (MSP) Contractor.

· Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable regulations.


Database & Data Management

· Maintain and optimize organizational databases, including member records.

· Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external data exchange.


Technology Planning & Strategy

· Assess technology needs and recommend solutions that align with budget and organizational priorities.

· Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to membership associations and nonprofits.

· Plan and manage technology-related projects from concept to deployment.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS


· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or combination of equivalent experience.

· 5+ years in IT administration (systems, networks, or security).

· Proficiency in 

o Microsoft 365 administration, Azure Active Directory, and network management.

o Web Hosting and Frontend: DNN, WordPress, HTML5, Domain Administration.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

· Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

· Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE


· Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).

· Ability to design, develop, and maintain internal and public-facing web applications, including the organization’s website, member portal, and custom tools.

· Experience with integration of third-party platforms such as CRM, event management, email marketing, and payment processing systems (e.g. Stripe, Square).

· Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and priorities including IT specialist vendors.

· Familiarity with IT procurement and vendor management.

· Technical support including hardware acquisition, commissioning, and support.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


This position is in-person and based at NFSA’s Headquarters in Linthicum Heights, MD.
