Cumberland Trace is now hiring Full-time LPN's for Evening and Weekend Option shifts. Evening shift must be able to work every weekend.  We offer daily and weekly pay and great benefits! 

About the Role

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Cumberland Trace, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during evening and weekend shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to assist registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive nursing services to residents. You will be instrumental in monitoring patients' health, administering medications, and ensuring that care plans are followed accurately. This position requires a compassionate approach to patient care, as you will be interacting with residents and their families to provide support and education. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing the overall well-being and comfort of our residents, making a significant impact on their quality of life.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding residents.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding health management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
  • Certification in IV therapy.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Skills

The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to monitor patients' conditions and respond to their needs effectively. Communication skills are essential, as you will need to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure cohesive care delivery.
